About Us ...
The Southern New
Hampshire Rescue Mission is an expansion project of the Northeast District of
the
Association of Gospel Rescue
Missions. For many years the Northeast District prayed for God to raise up a Gospel Mission in the
state of New
Hampshire, where none have existed to date. At the NE
District’s Annual Meeting held in May of 2001 in Arizona, the District
voted to organize efforts to establish a gospel mission in southern
New Hampshire. The District immediately initiated fund-raising
efforts and began the process of praying and searching for a Director.
Since May of 2001 …under the
leadership of
Perry Jones … the NE District began strategic planning
of the new work of Rescue by visiting the major cities of southern New
Hampshire, talking to the pastors of both large and small churches,
making connections with other service providers, and meeting with
community leaders to determine the viability and best location for
this work of the Kingdom. It was clear that God was at work, and that
Nashua was the best suited place for this ministry, based
upon the openness and welcoming attitudes of both church and community
leaders.
As
of November 1st of 2003, we were able to move into a rented facility
... which we are in the process of purchasing! Since moving into
the facility, we've had the privilege to provide special meals for
Thanksgiving and Christmas, pizza and movie nights,
and a number of other services.
Please visit
the
New
Facilities page for
details about the site itself, and the
Acts 4 in Real-Time page for the
God story behind the purchase. You really don't want to
miss this!
