"Feed the hungry.
Help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the
darkness...and the Lord will satisfy you with all good things."

Resurrection and Hope
... Easter is about the promise, power, and prospect of a
hopeful tomorrow. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 2:12
that without Jesus in our lives, we all wander through life "without
hope." It never fails, that when we open the doors of the
Southern New Hampshire Rescue Mission to invite a needy person in for
a hot meal, that moment marks the beginning of a life transformed for
so many. They come for a meal ... they leave with hope and new
beginnings.
Purpose
... This Rescue Mission exists to bring the genuine light and hope of Jesus into the
dark world that so many live in. Jesus, who knew loss and pain ... Jesus, who knew how it
felt to be an outcast ... Jesus, who had no place to call home. He came
into the darkness that surrounds us and brings the light of His
love and His presence.
"In his
great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
1 Peter 1:3
